NAB to Honor Bert Goldman for Lifetime Contributions to Radio Engineering

The National Association of Broadcasters will honor veteran broadcast engineer Bert Goldman with the 2026 Radio Engineering Achievement Award during the We Are Broadcasters Awards Ceremony at the NAB Show in Las Vegas on April 21. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to broadcast technology.

Goldman, president of Goldman Engineering Management, is being recognized for more than 50 years of work in radio engineering and consulting. Throughout his career, he has helped broadcasters improve performance, expand signal coverage, and upgrade facilities. His expertise includes AM and FM spectrum analysis, FCC regulatory compliance, FM boosters and translators, and directional AM antenna system design. Goldman has overseen projects across many of the top 25 U.S. markets and has managed the design and construction of more than 50 radio stations. Earlier in his career, he held senior engineering leadership roles at major broadcasting companies including ABC/Disney Radio, Nationwide Communications, Patterson Broadcasting, and Shamrock Broadcasting.

The NAB will also present the Television Engineering Achievement Award to Harvey Arnold, Senior Vice President of Engineering at Sinclair Broadcast Group, recognizing his leadership in transmission engineering and his role in advancing the industry’s transition to the ATSC 3.0 television standard.
