Chris Devine
Chief Executive Officer
Founder of GBS and serial radio entrepreneur with 40+ years of experience. Chris began his career as a disc jockey and went on to build, operate, and sell more than 140 radio stations nationwide.
His ventures include Marathon Media and Lakeshore Media, both known for innovative market strategies and value creation. Chris pioneered GBS’s patented MaxxCasting® and ZoneCasting® systems, combining deep broadcast knowledge with spectrum engineering to reshape local radio advertising.
He studied at Lake Forest College, Loyola University Chicago, and completed four years of study abroad.
Rick Bonick
Chief Financial Officer
Co-Founder of GBS and veteran broadcast finance executive. Rick served as CFO of Century Broadcasting and was a founding member of Cumulus Media, where he helped grow the company from zero to 300+ stations and led its IPO.
He later partnered with Chris Devine at Marathon and Lakeshore Media, scaling both platforms through strategic acquisitions and market repositioning. At GBS, Rick oversees finance and operations and has been instrumental in commercializing the firm’s breakthrough technologies.
Rick holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Dayton and an MBA in Finance from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Paul Littleton
Chief Technology Officer
Paul brings deep RF and telecom expertise to GBS, with a background in signal coverage optimization and broadcast system design. Formerly with NPR Labs, he contributed to early MaxxCasting® and ZoneCasting® research.
At GBS, he leads engineering and technical strategy, including FCC analysis, interference modeling, and network deployment.
Paul holds degrees in Bioengineering and Telecommunications Management from the University of Maryland and is recognized for advancing SFN and zone-based broadcasting technologies. He earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Maryland.
Vern Egli
Director of Infrastructure Deployment
Vern works on the design and deployment of new FM Booster technology for synchronized SFN boosters, know as MaxxCasting™, which has deployed in numerous top 100 markets across the US. He has also built and deployed ZoneCasting™ test sites for FCC certification.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the IT, satellite, and broadcast radio fields, and has deployed many multi-platform IT and satellite sites around the world and across the U.S. Vern has also worked with many commercial satellite solutions on most of the major platforms, or overseen the builds, of over 500 FM broadcast facilities in the US and abroad.
